FDA Approves Abbott's TriClip TEER System

FDA approved Abbott’s TriClip transcatheter edge-to-edge repair system for the treatment of tricuspid regurgitation. Delivered through a vein in the leg, the technology is designed to clip together a portion of the leaflets, or flaps of tissue, to repair the tricuspid valve and help blood flow in the right direction without the need for open heart surgery.

ZimVie Sheds Spine Business

Just two years after spinning out of Zimmer Biomet, ZimVie has sold its spine business to an investment firm to focus on its dental portfolio. The new spine business is now known as Highridge Medical. Analysts say a standalone dental business has a more compelling long-term outlook.
