Rochester Medical Implants has moved its corporate offices and manufacturing to a 33,000 sq-ft facility in Noblesville, IN. The contract manufacturer of implants and precision products also changed its name to RMI. The new site allows the company to address expanded customer needs. Noblesville is a favorable location due to its proximity to Indianapolis (about 25 miles) and "attractive business climate, with access to the key talent we need to support our growth," said Jim Evans, RMI president, in a company statement.
In 2009, RMI was a supplier to a winner of a Medical Design Excellence Award for the InterFuse interbody fusion device, manufactured Vertebral Technologies Inc. (Minnetonka, MN).
