Norwood Medical (Dayton, OH) has changed its name to emphasize its focus on the medical market. Previously called Norwood Tool Co., the contract manufacturer makes instruments and implants for the surgical, orthopedic, and spinal fields. It has been manufacturing single- and multiple-use medical products for 30 years. “To achieve our aggressive growth targets, it is essential that we make smart capital investments that will enable us to innovate, manufacture, and package our customers’ solutions in the most efficient manner possible,” says company representative Chris Jones. Norwood Medical will continue to make investments that help customers in problem solving, cost efficiency, and speed to market. It has more than 500 employees and is focused on supporting company growth through maintaining a leading industry workforce. Norwood Medical has also invested in advanced engineering tools and manufacturing capabilities. The goals are to improve its approach to vertically integrated manufacturing and keep up with the pace of double-digit growth.
