DePuy has launched products for shoulder reconstruction, hip revision surgery, and joint replacement. As always, the company’s goal is to expand its product line while reducing healthcare cost.

AOX Polyethylene contains a blend of polyethylene resin and Covernox (an antioxidant), which creates a material that traps free radicals and scavenging oxygen. It is approved for use with DePuy’s Sigma rotating platform knee system and LCS Complete mobile bearing knee system.

The Reclaim modular revision hip system is a stronger implant that is designed to improve intraoperative handling and flexibility through simplified instruments. Features include fatigue strength and torsional stability.

The Gripton TF acetabular augment system tackles bone defects in moderate to complex acetabular revision surgery. Its porous structure is made from commercially pure titanium, which is corrosion resistant and has an elasticity that is similar to bone.

For knee replacements, the Trumatch personalized solutions 2.5i is designed to help improve efficiency during the procedure (reducing time by up to 35 minutes) and aid surgeons in implant positioning. It uses CT scans and software as part of the process in manufacturing the femoral and tibial cutting blocks to match the bone surface of the patient.
The Global Unite platform system treats shoulder fractures of the proximal humerus (the top of the upper arm bone. It can be converted to a reverse shoulder arthroplasty for treating arthritis with a torn rotator cuff.

Also for the shoulder, the Global Steptech APG system corrects excessive retroversion caused by posterior glenoid bone loss.
